services

Services provided: The hospital provides 3 (three) types of services to those seeking social services, namely- 1. Psychological support, 2. Social assistance and 3. Financial assistance




.1 Psychological support:


(a) increase morale and courage of the patient in operations and terminal diseases;


(b) Provide immediate motivation and counseling services to boost the morale of abused women and children who come to the hospital's One Stop Crisis Center; And


(c) Helping in the mental development of mental and drug addicted patients as well as providing psychological stimulation and counseling to the parents.


2. Social assistance:


(a) assistance in obtaining hospitalization and treatment;


(b) To provide assistance to patients suffering from cancer, kidney, liver cirrhosis, congenital heart disease, paralyzed by stroke, thalassemia and other diseases through various medical assistance programs under the Department of Social Services;


(c) Assisting patients with complex diseases such as cancer, kidney, liver cirrhosis, tuberculosis, AIDS and other diseases in order to provide better medical care as per the doctor's advice to other hospitals if necessary;


(d) taking necessary measures in case of unidentified patients in consultation with the hospital authorities; the


(e) Home visits, follow-up and contact with family members of the patient as necessary;


(f) giving priority in medical services to children, disabled, transgender persons and the elderly;


(g) taking measures to rehabilitate homeless, addressless and abandoned children or persons in various institutions of the Department of Social Services, as applicable;


(h) providing regular indoor and outdoor patient counseling and stimulation services on family planning, maternal and child health care, cleanliness and prevention of contagious and infectious diseases;


(j) to organize seminars, workshops etc. and to publish and disseminate campaign leaflets, brochures etc. with a view to creating public awareness about the menace of contagious and infectious diseases; And


(j) As the case may be, arranging entertainment for the patients, eg: TV, daily newspapers, magazines etc. corners, children's playgrounds etc.




3. Financial Assistance: Providing free medicines, tests, clothes, food, blood, transport of bodies, cremation, travel fares, prostheses, medical aids and other medical assistance to indigent, distressed and poor patients receiving treatment in the hospital's outpatient and inpatient departments. As the case may be, arrangements are made in consultation with the hospital authorities for all examinations and free treatment of the patient.
